It’s the usual story: better stay at home and listen to our dear lp’s instead of entering a theatre to throw our joy away.

thank you for this review! I really hope that the show will come to the West End for a season in Europe sometime. I don’t dare to hope that the piece will be discovered again in Germany in a public and lasting way. Yet the Lincoln Center cast shows how fresh the great Loewe-score can sound – I’m thinking of Philippa Soo’s really (!) “lusty Month of May”, from which she elicits a successful hip-hop twist in a #ham4ham performance.
(Of course I preorderd the cast album!)
