I found this fantasio a most delightful evening, extremely well sung (MUCH better than in Karlsruhe and on cd/opera rara), namely by the tenor (amamazing) and the soprano (dto), and I loved horwitz´s commentary and his excellent french diction when preparing us for what was sung. this was intelligent,. exhilarating and zesty – a fab night with fab music – and a world premiere for that too. with a tenor like that a realy treat.
