The 1997 Ohio Light Opera recording used Herbert's full scores from the Library of Congress, but the OLO orchestra used a bassoon instead of the bass clarinet, so it technically did not play the Victor Herbert and Harold Sanford orchestrations as he wrote them. There is one questionable number on the OLO recording, "Blarney Is Our Birthright," for which nothing appears to exist beyond the lyrics in the earliest libretto draft, "In Erin's Isle." Several of the numbers on the recording, including "Blarney Is our birthright," are orchestrations by Quade. The production made cuts in the opening of Act Three and cut the duet "I'd Like To Be A Lady."
