THIRTY-ONE Traviate???? Why? But it doesn’t seem like a log jam at the top… there are a lot of fresh productions of old, new and interesting works coming out in German theatres. More than perhaps anywhere else in the world… but, yes, we could certainly do with a couple of dozen Traviate less. Not to mention Fledermice and Widows. An interesting glance … but Michael, MAMMA MIA and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA are not Broadway musicals. The originated respectively at the Prince Edward and Her Majesty’s Theatres, London!
