No, the Marzahn district in East-Berlin is probably not what first comes to mind when thinking of operetta. But: on 8 January, 2022, the Musikalische Komödie Berlin e.V. presents their New Year’s Concert with an exquisite cast that includes Maria Mallé, Rainer Luhn and Walter Plathe.

The afternoon concert at the Freizeitforum Marzahn starts at 4 pm (Marzahner Promenade 55). And it’s entitled “Hurra! Wir sind wieder da!” – signaling that the company is back after the Corona pandemic.

Peter Buchheim will support the soloists from the piano, and apart from the already mentioned singers there’s also Peggy Steiner, Esther Puzak, Christoph Schröter and Alexander Rogge. Not to forget the Salonquinett ESPRIT Berlin.

According to Maria Mallé, it will be a very colorful program that includes anything from “Freunde, das Leben ist lebenswert” (a very good motto for the current situation), “Niemand liebt dich so wie ich”, “Ganz ohne Weiber geht die Chose nicht” and “Es geht doch nischt über Berlin.” Add to that Maske in Blau and a bit of Rossini.

The concert is supported by the Günter Neumann Stiftung.

Tickets can be reserved via telephone +49 (0)30 5427091. The price is 22 Euros per seat.
