It is a new Romanian production by the National Operetta and Musical Theater, translated by Emil Mirasova and Carmen Pațac.

Andrei Munteanu will direct the show and told the Operetta Research Center beforehand: “We aim to make this as colorful and dynamic as possible.”

George Vârban and Dumitru Filip alternate in the title role, while Daniela Bucșan and Miruna Dascălu are cast as “Cunegonda” as she’s called here.
